Two things turned me off when I first approached this wine. 1st: the label and name. Nuff said. 2nd: apart from Syrah, I rarely find an affordable single variety WA red that I enjoy. Bold statement, but true. WA blends can be exquisite. WA single varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot or Cabernet Franc? Meh. This one came correct. It is elegant and centered, offering flavors of vanilla, sweet tobacco, bing cherry, and a blueberry pie finish. Another important reminder to never judge a book by its cover.* PCC Market, $14.79. #wine #tastingnotes #vanilla #sweettobacco #bingcherry #blueberrypie
*Unless it’s Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Black Panther. #wakandaforever #loveforchadwick
